Default Toggle Weapon Spell Skins

Searched and didn't see anything about this.

it'd be nice if there were an option to toggle weapon spells changing the skin of weapons. It occurred to me while going to buy my Envoy Scythe that I would rarely get to actually SEE it because Splinter Weapon, being the OP spell that it is, will be on me 24/7. Obviously, if the choice is between performance and aesthetics, I'm going to choose performance. I understand the theme of weapon spells but I think the effect could be done better from the beginning. It's obviously too late for something like that, so I think this would be a nice compromise.

Weapon spell is a buff that can't be stripped or ended prematurely.
This comes with a price of your weapon skin.

But I share you feeling. I don't like when weapon spell hides my weapon.

I don't see them change anything like this at this point anymore, but /signed anyway. Have some effect play around the weapon if a visual is absolutely necessary.

I wish they were translucent 'ghostly' skins that overlap with your weapon, instead replacing the skin.

Uhm probably this. But I don't have so many problems with the current state, even if ugly, probably I don't think it's so useful now changing it.

On a side note, I wish the weapon spell bow was an existing skin, I really like it.

It's a PvP thing, I believe. You can see the weapon under effect when the weapon looks "ghostly". Not going to be changed since it's a necessary (or at least used) mechanic.

I agree. There should be a pve toggle to shut off spell effects on your character.. like toggling capes for pve only.

The maintained buff visual is annoying.. and since I choose weapons not to be large, ugly and stupid looking the weapon appearance effect is very annoying.

I doubt much will change, since most seem to demand effects.. and TBH a large part of GW2 looks like nothing more than bigger, shinier, stupid particle effects.
